Metakinetik: Raison d'Etre
  Metakinetik is an organism conceived by the artist/technician Jason Cook. Metakinetik.com is primarily representative of the work of the said artist. This site is structured for the purpose of seeking artists and technicians alike who share similar ideas for collaborative efforts. Metakinetik supports collaborative associations in art and technology as well as most creative disciplines or practices interested in technological experimentation. Imagination, inspiration, a passion to manifest and communicate ideas are some example traits most valued in the associative efforts of Metakinetik. Technological assistance is offered to those interested in perpetuating creative endeavours in new media, high media, or low media.
   Metakinetik is survivalist. The philosophy of Metakinetik is to develop intuitive response to the chaotic and ephemeral natures that characterize the multiple existences and/or identities juggled by the individual within a new world (dis)order. Metakinetik is activist. Physical, mechanical, digital, and virtual existences that we as humans and creators conduct or misconduct on a daily basis are all equally taken into account when considering the big picture. Metakinetik is situationist. The aspiration of Metakinetik is to explore parallels between the aforementioned existences by practicing conscious responsive expression and circumstantial organisation.
     Metakinetik is not alone. The canvas and brush are not forgotten when utilizing technological means for creative and meaningful ends. However Metakinetik does not uphold the belief that the artist must be a singular entity. Metakinetik by name hereby proposes to hold signature resposibility and rights to the content of the site itself in place of the name of the artist(s) thereby represented. Metakinetik believes in assisted effort as necessary for an avant-garde of substantial impact under the climate of material conditions pervading the current quotidien. Metakinetik as organism is a virtual representation of it's creator(s).
